Terms of Service
Last updated: February 20, 2026
Welcome to My Silo. My Silo is a service of East Tactics LLC, a limited liability company organized under the laws of the State of Utah, USA. In these Terms, "we", "us", "our", and "My Silo" all refer to East Tactics LLC. "You" refers to the person or organization using the service. By creating an account or otherwise using My Silo, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use My Silo.
Notice: Section 17 contains a binding arbitration and class-action waiver that affects how disputes are resolved. Please read it.
1. What My Silo is
My Silo lets an individual or family ("Creator" or "Owner") build private AI "digital twins" — silos — trained only on the content the Owner uploads. Other people the Owner invites ("Collaborators", including family members and kid profiles) can interact with the silo through the fan portal or family view, subject to the Owner's settings. My Silo provides the platform; you provide the content.
2. Who can use My Silo
You must be at least 18 years old — or the age of majority where you live, whichever is greater — to create an account. If you're between 13 and 17, you may only use My Silo through a parent-owned family silo, with the parent's supervision, and only using the Kid Profile feature the parent sets up for you. Children under 13 may not use My Silo directly; see our Privacy Policy for details on how Kid Profiles work for younger children (parent-controlled, no independent account).
3. Your account
You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. Turn on two-factor authentication (we offer it — please use it). Don't share your account or use someone else's. You must give us accurate information when you sign up and keep it current. We may refuse to open, or may suspend, any account we reasonably believe is duplicative, fraudulent, or otherwise violates these Terms.
4. Your content & ownership
You keep full ownership of everything you upload to My Silo — documents, notes, media, chore lists, questions, whatever. By uploading, you grant My Silo a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to host, cache, transmit, display, and process your content only as necessary to operate the service for you and the collaborators you allow. That license ends when you delete the content or close your account. We do not use your private content to train any AI model that serves other users. You represent that you have the rights to upload whatever you upload.
5. Family features (parent-role, kid-role, collaborators)
On an Organizer or family-shaped silo, the Owner may promote other adult collaborators to "parent-role" — those users can manage kid profiles, edit household settings, and confirm chores, but the Owner retains ultimate control (billing, deletion, ownership transfer). "Kid-role" collaborators are minors under the Owner's supervision; they may only interact with the silo through the Family View and their assigned Kid Profile. The Owner is responsible for the accuracy of Kid Profile data (names, ages, PINs, chore lists) and for supervising the minor's use of the service.
6. Google Calendar integration
If you connect a Google Calendar, you authorize My Silo to read (but not write, edit, or delete) your calendar events for use inside your own silo. The integration is read-only, revocable at any time from within My Silo or from your Google Account permissions page, and subject to the "Google user data" and "Limited Use compliance" sections of our Privacy Policy. Google Calendar data is not shared with any other user, is not used for advertising, and is cached only briefly for performance.
7. Payments & subscriptions
Some features require a paid subscription (currently $15/month for the Creator plan; other tiers may be introduced). Creators may also charge their own subscription prices to their fans. All payments are processed by Stripe, and by transacting you also agree to Stripe's terms. My Silo charges a platform fee on Creator-set subscription revenue (currently 5.0%, subject to notice under Section 8 below). Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current paid period — you keep access until then.
8. Price changes (30-day notice)
We may adjust our own subscription prices, plan features, or platform fees from time to time. Any material change to what you're already paying — a price increase, a plan feature that moves behind a paywall, or an increase to the Creator platform fee — will be announced by email and in-app at least 30 days before it takes effect. You can cancel before the new price kicks in without owing the higher amount. Creator-set subscription prices are the responsibility of the individual Creator, but Creators must give their own subscribers the same 30-day notice for material price changes.
9. Refunds
My Silo's own subscription fees are generally non-refundable — when you pay, you're paying for a month (or year) of service and you keep access for that full period even if you cancel. Two exceptions where we will refund:
• Duplicate charge or clear billing error — email support@easttactics.com within 90 days and we'll investigate and refund confirmed errors.
• Consumer-protection laws — if you're in a jurisdiction that guarantees a cooling-off period (e.g. 14 days in the EU/UK under distance-selling rules), we honor that period.
For Creator-to-fan subscriptions, refund policy is set by the individual Creator. My Silo does not itself refund fan subscriptions — contact the Creator directly. Chargebacks initiated with your card issuer without contacting us first may result in account suspension pending investigation. Prepaid AI credit is treated differently and is refundable while unused — see Section 10.
10. Prepaid AI credit
Voucher credit is prepaid access to AI features on the platform. It is not a deposit, not a stored-value or money-transmission product, and not redeemable for goods or services outside the platform. Credit carries no interest and does not expire.
Unused credit is refundable to the original payment method on request. Credit that has been consumed by AI usage, or withdrawn as cash under the payout terms, is not refundable.
Where a payment is reversed or disputed by your card issuer, we may place the credit attributable to that payment on hold for the duration of the dispute. Held credit may not be spent, transferred, reallocated or withdrawn. If the dispute is resolved in your favor the hold is released. If it is resolved against you, credit attributable to that payment that remains unspent is withdrawn.
Where a reversed payment relates to credit you have already spent or withdrawn, we do not deduct the shortfall from your other balances or future earnings. We may, at our discretion, pause further credit purchases or cash withdrawals on the account, or suspend the account, pending review.
Promotional or complimentary credit is granted at our discretion, has no cash value, is not refundable, and may be withdrawn where it was granted in error or where these terms have been breached.
See our Refund Policy for how to request a refund of unused credit.
11. Bring-your-own-key (BYOK)
Creators may connect their own AI-provider keys (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini, etc.). You're responsible for any usage charges those keys incur with the underlying provider — My Silo does not itself bill for token usage against your BYOK keys. Keys are stored encrypted at rest. If you don't connect a key, eligible usage may draw from your prepaid platform balance at posted rates.
12. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
• Upload content you don't have the rights to.
• Impersonate any person or organization.
• Use My Silo for anything illegal, harmful, deceptive, or abusive — including harassment, hate speech, sexual content involving minors, content that promotes self-harm, or attempts to defraud others.
• Reverse-engineer, scrape, or attempt to circumvent the service's technical limits (rate limits, usage quotas, paywalls, access controls).
• Interfere with the service, other users, or any AI provider we integrate with.
• Use My Silo to develop a competing service.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules or applicable law. Egregious violations (child sexual abuse material, imminent-harm threats) will be reported to appropriate authorities.
13. DMCA & copyright takedowns
My Silo respects intellectual-property rights. If you believe content on My Silo infringes your copyright, send a written DMCA notice to support@easttactics.com with the following: (a) your physical or electronic signature; (b) identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed; (c) identification of the material that is infringing and its location on My Silo; (d) your contact information; (e) a good-faith statement that use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law; and (f) a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf. We will respond to complete notices and, where appropriate, remove the material and notify the poster, who may submit a counter-notice under 17 U.S.C. § 512(g). Repeat infringers will have their accounts terminated.
14. Termination
You may close your account at any time from your account settings — this ends your obligations under these Terms going forward (except sections that by their nature survive: ownership, disclaimers, indemnification, dispute resolution, retention limited by law). We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms, fail to pay, create legal or security risk, or in response to a valid legal request. Where reasonably practicable, we will notify you before termination and give you a chance to cure — except for violations involving imminent harm, unlawful content, or fraud, which may be terminated immediately without notice.
15. Data export before termination
Before you close your account, you can export your silo's content (uploaded documents, question/answer history, chore data) via the export tool in Account Settings — or by emailing support@easttactics.com. Export requests are honored within 30 days for active accounts. After account deletion, exports may no longer be possible.
16. Disclaimers & limitation of liability
My Silo is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied — including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. AI-generated answers can be wrong, out of date, or incomplete; treat them as a starting point, not professional advice. Never rely on My Silo for medical, legal, financial, or safety-critical decisions without independent verification. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free service.
To the fullest extent allowed by law, East Tactics LLC and its officers, employees, and agents will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of My Silo — regardless of the theory of liability, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our aggregate liability for any claim relating to My Silo will not exceed the greater of (a) US $100 or (b) the total amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.
Some jurisdictions don't allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
17. Governing law, arbitration, class-action waiver
These Terms and any dispute arising out of or related to them or your use of My Silo are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. The federal or state courts located in Utah County, Utah have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute not subject to arbitration under this section.
Binding individual arbitration. Any dispute you or we have with the other arising out of or related to these Terms or your use of My Silo (except intellectual-property enforcement actions and small-claims-court cases within that court's jurisdictional limit) will be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by JAMS in Salt Lake County, Utah, under JAMS's Streamlined Arbitration Rules, before a single arbitrator, in English. The arbitrator's decision is final and enforceable in any court of competent jurisdiction.
Class-action waiver. You and we agree that any dispute will be brought only in an individual capacity, not as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class, consolidated, or representative proceeding. The arbitrator may not consolidate more than one person's claims and may not preside over any form of representative or class proceeding.
30-day opt-out. You may opt out of this arbitration and class-action waiver by sending written notice to support@easttactics.com within 30 days of first accepting these Terms. If you opt out, disputes will be resolved in the Utah courts named above.
18. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by law, you will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless East Tactics LLC and its officers, employees, and agents from and against any third-party claims, damages, liabilities, losses, and reasonable expenses (including attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to (a) content you upload to or generate through My Silo, (b) your violation of these Terms, (c) your violation of any third-party right (including intellectual property, publicity, or privacy rights), or (d) your violation of any applicable law. We'll notify you promptly of any covered claim and reasonably cooperate in your defense.
19. Miscellaneous
These Terms are the entire agreement between you and East Tactics LLC about My Silo, superseding any prior communications. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision isn't a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our written consent; we may assign them to an affiliate or to a successor in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with notice to you. Nothing in these Terms creates an agency, partnership, joint venture, or employment relationship.
20. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. Non-material changes take effect when posted (the "Last updated" date changes above). Material changes — anything that meaningfully changes your rights or obligations — will be announced by email and in-app at least 30 days before they take effect. If you continue using My Silo after the effective date, you accept the updated Terms; if you disagree, you can close your account (and export your data — see Section 15) before then.
